The PPA Austin Showcase has kicked off with incredible pickleball action already today. The finals of both the men’s and women’s singles tournaments are set with the final two competitors in each field. The doubles fields for the men, women and mixed tournaments are still in action with the quarterfinals as the main event today. Some of the best individual and team pickleball players in the game today are in the field with Anna Leigh Waters, Benjamin Johns, Lucia Kovalova, Matt Wright and many others all looking to advance to the quarterfinals and onto the semifinals.

The doubles tournaments are still in progress with the teams working through the round of 32 and 16 respectively before the quarterfinals take the court here tonight.
Heading into this tournament the top men’s doubles players are Johns and his brother Collin Johns. The top women’s doubles players are Waters and Catherine Parenteau, with Johns and Waters at the top of the mixed doubles leaderboard. Those two will look to move on to the finals in the men’s, women’s and mixed doubles tournaments in the PPA Austin Showdown.
In the men’s finals, Benjamin Johns takes on Federico Staksrud and in the women’s Kaitlyn Christian faces Judit Castillo. Those matches will continue the amazing week of action at the PPA Austin Showdown.
